MIF07 celebrated the best of contemporary music by presenting some of the most exciting acts from Britain and beyond at Unknown Pleasures. The likes of Bat for Lashes, Wild Beasts, Lightspeed Champion, Metronomy, Maps and the Noisettes were among the acts who played at a series of seven gigs at Manchester Academy, before the Gossip, the Horrors, New Young Pony Club and the Whip drew 5,000 people to the plaza outside The Lowry for a free show on the final day of the Festival.
