Types of Access Performance

AD: Audio-described performance

Factory International audio description offers an introduction/commentary of the visual action to assist blind and visually impaired patrons. This is usually delivered via an earpiece and will be available from event pages.

BSL: British Sign Language interpreted performance

A British Sign Language interpreter will translate the spoken words for BSL users.

CAP: Captioned performance

Captioning displays dialogue and some sound effects as visible text on a screen or mobile device for anyone who would find this useful.

REL: Relaxed performance

Relaxed performances welcome all who may benefit from a more relaxed performance environment, including people with an Autism Spectrum Condition, sensory and communication disorders or a learning disability, or those with babes in arms.
